What Do British Gypsum Do?

What is Gypsum?

Gypsum is a soft sulfate mineral composed of calcium sulfate dihydrate, with the chemical formula CaSO4·2H2O. It has a very wide array of uses, including chalk, drywall and plasterboard. The benefits of gypsum as an insulating material include its incredible fire resistance and high levels of acoustic insulation. Gypsum also has very low thermal conductivity, which makes it a fantastic thermal insulator.
