Fascia vents are a highly effective yet discreet form of roof ventilation. Unlike tile or slate vents, over fascia ventilation systems are nearly unnoticeable, as they’re hidden between your guttering system and the roof tiles. Vented fascia boards are an excellent way to improve internal air quality, prevent condensation and keep pests like small birds or rodents out of your roof space.
Suitable for both existing and new build properties, our fascia vents are easy to work with and install. Made from lightweight yet tough polypropylene plastic, these vents are the ideal solution for a homeowner looking to tackle the project themselves. What’s more, they’re highly durable, and almost immune to adverse weather, whilst providing over 10,000mm2 of continuous ventilation.
Types of Over Fascia Vents
There are two primary sizes you’ll find when shopping for over fascia ventilation. Each of these has been specially designed for different roof types, so be sure to select the one that’s right for your project.
10mm: 10mm over fascia vents are designed for use on conventional cold roofs
25mm: Over fascia vents in 25mm are ideal for warm roofs and roofs with a flat or very shallow pitch
How to Install Fascia Vents
Over fascia vents are incredibly easy to install. Each unit will usually measure 1m in length, and feature small clips that will fasten onto your fascia board and can be nailed down for extra security. As a fascia ventilation system will be hidden by your guttering once installed, ensure that your fascia boards leave enough room for gutters to be installed.
