Fibre cement roofing sheets are made from a composite of cellulose fibres, cement and sand, which is semi-compressed and formed into a corrugated profile for fantastic strength and durability. This strength, along with their energy efficiency, reasonable cost and simple installation makes them ideal for large projects such as agricultural or industrial buildings. Plus, they’ve got a life expectancy of over 50 years, with minimal maintenance required.
We’re proud to work with leading fibre cement roofing manufacturers Eternit to offer a fantastic selection of fibre cement sheets in both profile 3 and profile 6. Thanks to over 100 years’ commitment to excellence in product design and engineering, their sheets are some of the very finest in the industry. Every corrugated fibre cement roofing sheet they manufacture either meets or exceeds the rigorous standards set by British and European regulations, as well as the BBA. These sheets can be installed on roofs with pitches as low as 10°, all the way up to 90°.
Another reason why fibre cement sheets have become so popular is just how fantastically resilient they are. A fibre cement roof will require very little maintenance throughout its lifetime, aside from occasional cleaning. This is because these sheets are virtually immune to anything that usually plagues roofing materials, including weather damage, chemicals, rust, rot, fungi, and UV light. Fibre cement is also highly sustainable, taking less energy to manufacture than any other building material but timber.
What’s more, there is no better option than fibre cement roofing sheets for creating a comfortable living environment in the space below. This is because fibre cement is naturally breathable, which improves ventilation and pulls excess moisture out of the air, and helps to prevent condensation, a leading cause of issues such as mould, rotting timbers and more. The energy efficiency and insulative properties of fibre cement sheets is also very helpful in maintaining a consistent, comfortable temperature all year round. Plus, they absorb twice as much noise as metal sheets do in the rain.
As well as manufacturing or farming premises, the unique rural appearance of fibre cement roof sheets makes them perfectly suited to homes in the country. In fact, many property developers are now favouring fibre cement for its distinctive aesthetic, to truly set their homes apart. Our fibre cement sheets are available in a selection of eleven tasteful colours in both 3- and 6-inch profiles. So, no matter your project, we’re sure to have the perfect option for you.
